Training Course Policies

By Lauren Education

Please read the following policies carefully before booking or purchasing a training course with By Lauren Education.

By completing a booking or purchasing a course, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. These policies apply to all in-person and online training courses provided by By Lauren Education.

In-Person Training Policies

1. Booking Deposits & Payments

  • A £100 booking deposit is required to secure your training date, unless otherwise stated on the individual course page.

  • Booking deposits are deducted from the total course price.

  • The remaining balance is payable on the day of training, before your course begins.

  • Deposits are non-refundable outside applicable statutory cancellation rights, except where a refund is required by law. Any cancellation charges must be fair and proportionate to reasonable losses incurred.

  • Your booking is confirmed once your deposit has been received and confirmation has been issued.

2. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Students are permitted one reschedule with a minimum of 7 days' notice, subject to availability.

  • Your booking deposit will be transferred to your rearranged training date.

  • Requests to reschedule with less than 7 days' notice will be considered individually.

  • If you need to cancel your training, please contact us as soon as possible.

  • Cancellation charges outside any applicable statutory cancellation period may apply, reflecting reasonable losses incurred.

3. Late Arrivals & Non-Attendance

  • Please arrive on time for your scheduled training.

  • Arriving more than 20 minutes late may result in your training being unable to go ahead as planned.

  • Failure to attend without notice may result in cancellation charges reflecting reasonable losses incurred.

  • Any outstanding balance remains subject to applicable consumer rights and fair cancellation terms.

4. Training Day Requirements

  • Please wear comfortable clothing and suitable footwear.

  • We recommend avoiding expensive clothing, as you may be working with adhesives, tints and other professional products.

  • Children, friends and additional guests are not permitted during training unless agreed in advance.

  • Students are expected to follow all health, safety and hygiene instructions throughout their training.

5. Practical Models

  • Where a live model is required, students are responsible for arranging a suitable model.

  • Models must arrive at the specified time provided before training, not earlier.

  • If you're struggling to arrange a model, please contact us at least 7 days before your training date. We will do our best to assist, although model availability cannot be guaranteed.

  • Models must meet the treatment's suitability requirements, including any necessary patch testing.

  • Failure to provide a suitable model may affect your ability to complete your practical assessment.

6. Assessments & Certification

  • Attendance alone does not guarantee certification.

  • Students must successfully complete all required theory assessments, practical assessments and case studies.

  • Where case studies are required, there is no fixed completion deadline unless otherwise stated.

  • Certificates will only be issued once the required standard has been achieved.

  • Where additional practice or assessment is necessary, feedback and guidance will be provided.

7. Student Support

  • Ongoing WhatsApp support is available while students complete their required case studies.

  • Students may contact us for guidance, questions and feedback relating to their training.

  • Messages will be responded to during business hours.

8. Course Changes & Cancellations

In exceptional circumstances, By Lauren Education may need to rearrange or cancel a training date.

If this happens, students will be contacted as soon as possible and offered an alternative date or a refund for the cancelled training.

Online Training Policies

1. Course Purchases & Access

  • Online courses must be purchased through the By Lauren Education website.

  • Course access will be provided following successful payment, unless a later start date is specified.

  • Students are responsible for providing an accurate email address when purchasing.

  • Course access is intended for the individual student who purchased the course.

  • Login details must not be shared with another person.

2. Payments & Payment Plans

  • All course prices are displayed in GBP (£).

  • Where payment plans are available, students agree to pay all instalments according to the payment schedule selected at checkout.

  • Choosing a payment plan does not reduce the total course price.

  • If an instalment is missed, course access may be temporarily suspended until the outstanding payment has been resolved, subject to applicable consumer rights.

  • Any payment difficulties should be raised as soon as possible.

3. Cancellations & Refunds

Online course purchases are subject to applicable UK consumer cancellation rights.

Where a course includes digital content made available immediately, students may be asked to expressly consent to immediate access and acknowledge that this can affect their statutory cancellation rights.

Refund requests will be assessed in accordance with applicable consumer law and the nature of the course purchased.

Where digital content is faulty or does not match its description, students retain their statutory rights.

4. Course Completion & Assessments

  • Students are responsible for completing the required lessons, activities and assessments.

  • All assessments must be completed to the required standard before certification can be awarded.

  • Additional evidence or corrections may be requested where necessary.

  • Purchasing an online course does not automatically guarantee certification.

  • Any course-specific assessment requirements will be explained within the relevant course.

5. Course Access & Learning Materials

  • Course materials are provided for the enrolled student's individual educational use.

  • Students must not share, reproduce, distribute, resell or upload course materials to other platforms without written permission.

  • Course content may be updated to maintain accuracy and professional standards.

  • Any material changes affecting enrolled students will be communicated where appropriate.

6. Technical Requirements

Students are responsible for ensuring they have access to a suitable device and a reliable internet connection.

By Lauren Education cannot guarantee uninterrupted access where issues arise from a student's own device, internet connection or third-party services.

If you experience technical difficulties accessing your course, please contact us so we can investigate and assist.

7. Student Support

Students can contact By Lauren Education for support relating to their course content and assessments.

Support is provided during business hours, and response times may vary depending on the nature of the enquiry.

8. Certification

Certificates are issued only after students have successfully completed all required assessments and met the relevant course requirements.

Where a course is accredited, certification will be awarded in accordance with the applicable accreditation requirements.

Students are responsible for checking any additional professional, licensing or insurance requirements relevant to their intended work.

General Terms & Conditions

1. Entry Requirements

Students must meet the entry requirements stated on their chosen course page.

Certain courses may require previous qualifications, practical experience or a minimum age.

It is the student's responsibility to check these requirements before booking.

2. Course Materials & Copyright

All training manuals, lesson content, videos, presentations and educational resources remain the intellectual property of By Lauren Education or their respective rights holders.

Materials must not be copied, shared, reproduced, distributed or used to create or deliver training courses without appropriate permission.

3. Professional Conduct

Students are expected to communicate respectfully and behave professionally throughout their training.

By Lauren Education reserves the right to take appropriate action where behaviour is abusive, threatening or creates a safety concern, subject to applicable consumer rights.

4. Statutory Cancellation Rights

For eligible distance bookings, including purchases made online, consumers generally have a 14-day cancellation period beginning when the contract is made.

To exercise this right, students must notify By Lauren Education of their decision to cancel within the applicable period.

Where a student expressly requests an in-person service to begin during the cancellation period, they may be required to pay a proportionate amount for services already provided, subject to the legal requirements.

For digital content supplied immediately, the statutory cancellation right may be lost once supply begins, but only where the necessary express consent, acknowledgement and confirmation requirements have been satisfied.

Where a purchase combines digital content with teaching or other services, different cancellation rules may apply.

These policies do not affect your statutory consumer rights.
